Megan Thomopoulos

Regional Manager

Megan has been with HallKeen since 2002 and is responsible for the oversight of a portfolio of affordable housing communities throughout Massachusetts, with an emphasis in the South Shore region. Mrs. Thomopoulos is knowledgeable and has hands-on experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit, Section 8, Section 202, PRAC, USDA Rural Housing program, and Rental Voucher programs.

Mrs. Thomopoulos acts as the liaison to owner’s, regulatory agencies, and lenders, ensuring the financial health of each asset. She also provides direction, oversight, and training to her staff and ensures adherence to all Federal, State and Local housing laws.

Mrs. Thomopoulos has also previously served as 504 Coordinator. As such, she was accountable for HallKeen Management’s responsibilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Prior to her acquiring a portfolio of affordable housing, Mrs. Thomopoulos oversaw of a portfolio of Market Rate properties in Cambridge and surrounding areas. During that time, her focus was on maximizing income, performing market analysis, and executing marketing initiatives.

Megan is passionate about serving low income households and providing a foundation, through safe and affordable housing, for families and seniors to find stability, to grow, and to thrive in their communities.

Mrs. Thomopoulos is a graduate of The University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. She is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) through IREM, and has LIHTC designations from Spectrum Enterprises, and the Specialist in Housing Credit Management (SHCM) certification through NAHMA.

Outside of the office, Megan is dedicated to spending quality time with her family. She is focused on health and wellness, and dedicated to daily practices which support self care and continued personal growth.
