At HallKeen we recognize the importance of reaching beyond the Bricks & Mortar of the properties we manage by going straight to the heart of the communities we serve—our residents.

HallKeen’s Community Relations Department aims to do just that by providing quality community life; through effective and supportive services delivered by a knowledgeable and caring Service Coordination Staff ensuring attentiveness to the wellness, safety and the dignity of our residents.

The Community Relations Department assists and/or spearheads:

  • Use of AASC online and Family Metrics to assess, log, and document interactions with residents
  • HUD-certified service coordinators
  • Completing HUD reports
  • Budget Preparation
  • Interdepartmental communications training between managers and service coordinators
  • Grant exploration and budget-based rent increases
  • Programming and community development
  • Bridges out of poverty and FSS programming

Resident Services at various properties may include:

  • Financial Planning
  • Child Care
  • Healthcare/Health Insurance Needs
  • Weight loss and smoking cessation
  • Education and training for job related goals
  • Employment opportunities
  • After school programs with emphasis on tutoring children for success
  • Nutrition Education
  • Budgeting and Money Management
For seniors:
  • Acquiring homemaking/personal care services
  • Meals on Wheels/Congregate Meals Program
  • Transportation: medical and shopping
  • Socialization: resident meetings/activities
  • Education: health services and screening
  • Health clinics on-site

  • Pharmacy programs
  • Conflict resolution
  • Crisis intervention

For those properties which do not have on-site Resident Service Coordinators or participate in Service Coordination, we are able to use our company’s knowledge and experiences to connect residents with social services on an as-needed basis.
